Job description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a competent and motivated 3rd Engineer (DP Engineer) to join our client's offshore operations onboard Anchor Handling, Towing, and Supply (AHTS) or Offshore Support Vessels. The successful candidate will assist the engineering team in maintaining vessel machinery and supporting DP operations, ensuring safe and efficient engineering performance.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist senior engineering staff in operating and maintaining propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and power systems.
  • Act as DP Engineer, supporting DP-2 operations and ensuring proper functioning of the integrated DP / power management system.
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure reliability of machinery.
  • Maintain engine room cleanliness and operational readiness of machinery.
  • Support HSSE initiatives and participate in drills and emergency exercises.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance, operations, and inspections.
  • Comply with company, class, and flag state regulations for engineering operations.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • Minimum 1 year experience on AHTS or Offshore Support Vessels.
  • Must have STCW Officer in Charge of Engineering Watch (OICEW) Certificate of Competency.
  • Must have valid DP Maintainer Certificate, with :
  • Minimum 6 months experience on DP-2 vessels, and
  • Completion of manufacturer / supplier-approved operator training on the integrated DP / power management control system.
  • Must have the below listed certificates :

    • Valid H2S / BA certificate.

  • Valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
  • Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
  • T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
  • Valid Offshore Medical Fitness Card.
  • Knowledge of DP systems, marine engines, and offshore vessel operations.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues under offshore conditions.
  • Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
