We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Human Resources to lead the HR function for one of our prestigious clients in the Oil & Gas sector in Kuwait. This role is critical to aligning human capital strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive HR strategy that supports the company’s operational and strategic goals.
- Lead and oversee all HR functions including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compensation & benefits, training & development, and HR compliance.
- Design and implement a job grading structure that aligns with organizational hierarchy and compensation benchmarks.
- Establish and manage a competency-based framework for employee development, career planning, and performance management
- Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on people management, workforce planning, and organizational development.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Oversee implementation and optimization of HR systems and technologies (HRIS, ATS, etc.).
- Lead the development and periodic review of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Kuwait labor laws and international best practices.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Manage and mentor the HR team, ensuring professional growth and high standards of service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the oil & gas or energy sector.Mandatory experience in Kuwait, with full working knowledge of Kuwait labor laws and government processes.Proven experience in strategic HR planning, organizational development, and talent management.Hands-on experience in developing grading structures, competency frameworks, and HR policy manuals.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to influence at all levels of the organization and manage complex employee relations issues.Experience with HR technologies, HR analytics, and digital transformation in HR is a plus.Arabic language proficiency is preferred; English fluency is required.
