Description
The Instrument Supervisor will oversee the instrumentation team, ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all instruments and control systems within the facility. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the instrumentation team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all instruments in the facility.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of instrumentation systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of instrumentation systems with overall plant operations.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all instruments and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrumentation issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Train and mentor junior staff on instrumentation best practices and safety protocols.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to instrumentation processes, calibration records, and maintenance logs.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.7-10 years of experience in instrumentation supervision or a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems including sensors, transmitters, control valves, and PLCs.Familiarity with industry standards such as ISA, IEC, and ANSI.Proficient in using instrumentation calibration and diagnostic tools.Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Good communication skills, both written and verbal.Skills Required
